wupf questions, answered

everything about how wupf sends one message across every channel — and why the recipient, not the sender, picks the channel.

Can I send one message to email, Telegram and SMS at the same time?

Yes. wupf fans a single broadcast out across email, Telegram, push, Slack, WhatsApp, SMS and voice in one send, and each subscriber receives it on the channel — or channels — they chose. You write the message once; wupf handles the fan-out.

Who picks the channel — the sender or the recipient?

The recipient. This is the core inversion in wupf: instead of the sender deciding everyone gets an email (or everyone gets an SMS), each person self-selects how they want to be reached and verifies it once. The owner just sends one message.

Do I need A2P 10DLC registration or an EIN to send SMS?

No. wupf is the registered sender under a single platform A2P 10DLC registration, so SMS alerts need no EIN, no carrier brand/campaign vetting, and no A2P paperwork from you. You stay within the registered operational-alerting use case and wupf handles the regulatory side.

What channels does wupf support?

Core delivery services — email, Telegram, push and Slack — are included on every plan. Premium channels — SMS, WhatsApp and voice — run on credits. Each subscriber mixes and matches the channels they actually read.

Can I broadcast just by sending an email?

Yes. Every broadcast group has its own inbound email address. Email that group from your approved sender address and wupf turns it into a broadcast and fans it out to every subscriber on their chosen channel — no portal needed.

Is wupf passwordless?

Yes. Owners and staff sign in with one-time email codes; subscribers are identified by channel verification and a signed personal link. There is no password to set, share, or store anywhere.

How do people subscribe?

The owner shares one magic join link or QR code with the whole group. Each person opens it, picks the channel they want, verifies it once, and they’re subscribed. The join link identifies the group, not an individual, and never reveals who else has joined.

Can the group owner see my phone number or personal details?

No. The broadcast owner never sees a subscriber’s contact details — only the subscriber’s name and which channel type they chose. Your email, phone number, or handle stays with wupf.

How do recipients opt out?

Every subscriber gets a private management link to add, remove, or pause channels, or leave entirely. STOP and HELP are honored on every messaging channel, and an opt-out is permanent for that endpoint — wupf will not message it again.

What happens to my message after it’s delivered?

Message bodies are encrypted at rest with a short, configurable retention window and are purged on delivery confirmation. wupf logs delivery metadata (operationally required) but is a data processor, not a "no-logs" product.

one message, every channel the recipient chose.
